I am fairly inexperienced, but I have the TomTom one gb and I downloaded and installed the single file version, it works great , but at the weekend travelling from Ayrshire to perth (scotland) it warned me of the only 2 cameras on my journey , problem was on a section of the A9 It was showing a mobile on almost every bridge, now i have travelled this route every summer for 6 years and never had a worry, so what other of the versions would I use, I understand its better to be safe than sorry but this may defeat or lead to complacency.
I just feel it may be better for my use to tailor the fixed and specs plus traffic lights ? but maybe not the mobiles, I may change my mind after experimenting , but the other options seem a little complex for beginners
any suggestions.

Although I'd advise beginners to try the single file version the very first time, if you can get that working, it is exactly the same process to install one of the other options, and really isn't too hard!
All you will be doing is copy and pasting a bunch of similar files rather than just one, and then repeating the "enable POI" steps several times, once for each one.
So, your options are:
1 ) The single file - as you've found, every type of camera and mobile site, no way to tell what type is bleeping at you!
2 ) "Consolidated by type" - as the name says, seperate files for gatsos, redlights, mobiles etc.
You could choose this set, and simply not install the file for mobiles. ("pocketgps_uk_mobile.ov2")
3 ) "Speed-zoned set" - each type as in #2 above, further split into seperate files for each speed limit.
You could choose this set, and simply not install any of the files with "mobile" in their name.
Having said that though, you might find that once you can see that the alert is for a mobile site, it might not annoy you so much?
