Hey all, I had my go 300 stolen on Friday night in Aberdeen, so anyone offered a cheap one, please give me a shout.
I was wondering about a replacement, would the tt one be a worthy replacement? I believe it's virtually identical in terms of spec & menu etc, just the size is different?
Does it have the facility to fit a larger SD card again, for things like the camera database?
TIA |

Yep with the TT1 you can put a bigger SD card in (I have a 1GB in mine) and it has the later SIRF chipset than the 300 so yes it's a good replacement. |

No, there are a few other differences.
1 ) Firstly, the new edition is available in two versions (regional or European). The European version uses Navteq maps.
2 ) It's obviously a different shape, so needs a new style of mount.
3 ) They have removed the headphone socket (to stop people using them instead of the Rider?)
4 ) It is now charged via the USB socket.
5 ) The CPU speed is reduced from 380 Mhz to 266 Mhz (although no-one seems to have noticed the new ONE being 'slower' than the old one). |

Well, that's the tt1 arrived this morning, the one major difference I noticed (apart from the obvious) is that the choice between fastest or shortest route seems to have gone, & is replaced by a question "what time do you want to be there? "
I much preffered the choice of route option on the go 300, & I thought the one was the same as the go 300? |

You can change that in Change Preferences | Last Page | Do not ask arrival time. _________________ Richard
