Guys,

I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario mobile phone with CoPilot loaded. Works great on the road. However, I've recently got Memory Map and the intention is to use this for green lanes (which CoPilot sees as a big white space of nothingness!).

I've got PocketNav (The Memory Map PDA application) working and maps & tracks downloading. But I cannot seem to get it to recognise my CoPilot Bluetooth GPS reciever.

Under the GPS Setup menu, there are Com ports 1-6 & 9 to choose from and various manufacturers... I have selected SiRF as I believe they are the ones doing bluetooth recievers like mine.

Can anyone help confirm that the setup is correct and advise me as to what is going on?

Kindest

Frank

Try using the NMEA settings instead within the Memory Map application, leave SiRF alone for the time being for the port I think its Com 6 on your device, but I am not to sure of the Baud rate for the GPS start with 4800 if that doesn't work increase the speed until the PDA finds the GPS

I can see your confusion from the SiRF vs NMEA - your GPS uses a SiRF chipset (Hardware), but it uses NMEA for the data transmission(Software) - both have similar names, with totally different meanings - Mike
