Can the mods put up a sticky here listing the phones & tarrifs (and possibly the settings) that are known to work on TomTom Traffic?
I ask because the phone compatibility & wireless setup guides on TomTom's site is hit & miss. I've had 2 phones that according to their site are ok but on emailling them I find they are not. Also I seem to go round in circles trying to set up for traffic - I just get offered one setting, then another, then mutations of previously given settings...
The format of the sticky could be:
TomTom: (TomTom Unit, ie. TomTom ONE V2)
Mobile Phone: (Phone model here)
Provider: (Service provider here)
Tarrif: (Tarrif details here)
Settings: (Settings KNOWN to work here)
I think this would stop the multiple posts asking for settings on the same phones/tarrifs etc (and I'm guilty of this myself).
I would love to start it off with settings etc that I know work, but I haven't found any yet![/b]
Excellent Idea, perhaps members could add their phones and tarrifs to this thread to start us off _________________ Tomtom Go730T

There is nothing I would like more than to add my settings, however my Samsung E900 is not compatible just yet, it is fine with the hands free etc, just not the Plus facilities.
I have asked several times for help, only because when you try to set it up, it IS in the list of phones to select on the actual device, which gave me a glimmer of hope, but no such luck. _________________ Tomtom Go730T

Calm down, man. MY Traffic worked using a RIDER and a Nokia N90, until some stole the N90. I have no idea what the settings were but I'm on a Vodafone Monthly contract. _________________ Tim
Right, I've finally got mine to work now, so here's my settings:

This works for me, but PLEASE NOTE - I asked Vodafone for the correct settings, and the ones they sent me were wrong. They said to select WAP as the Service Type and that Password and Username was WAP, which is incorrect.
Hope this helps someone out, and if anyone who has a different contract/phone etc could put their details up here it would help other people out.

I haven't posted the settings, as for me it was unnecessary as TomTom1 (V1) and my Nokia 6630 configured the settings automatically. Incidently the Nokia was an unlocked phone that had been on the 3 network.
TomTom: TomTom ONE V (v1)
Mobile Phone: NOKIA 6630
Provider: Orange
Tarrif: Orange PAYG
Settings: Automatic detection of all settings _________________ Regards
Hi dixie68
please forgive a newbies total ignorance but I have a TTone, a razr v3 ans vodafone payg. I understand the tt settings but how the sam hill do i do the phone ones
when i open the menu all i get is 12 icons:
Games, vodafone live, video camera, my files, camera, messaging, organiser and tools, names, call log, settings,connectivity, and shortcuts
I dont know where to look for web access or the other stuff
I think what you are doing with this is terrific power to your elbow
May the 4th be with you
I should also add that I have managed to set up GPRS on the phone but cannot get mobile phone tools 3.23.to recognise my v3
Hi, for a full list of gsm/gprs settings I have found this site useful:
http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
It has settings for O2. Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Tesco, Virgin, BT-Mobile etc.
For downloading you will need an account that supports "full internet access" (a.k.a web or mobile-web or mobile internet) rather than the more limited WAP access.

I've now changed to Orange contract phone, a Nokia 6300 on the Panther 250 (or is it 225?) tariff.
It configures itself in exactly the same way as listed above. The only difference is that the 6300 is not listed, but when it comes to the 'select phone' option, I just selected the nearest 6300 series (6310 I think). It works perfectly
The E61 that 3 promised would work via GPRS, is no use at all and the option to manually configure the settings seems to have disappeared as an option on my TomTom. _________________ Regards
Can someone please help me before i pull all my hair out. I warn you this is a long story, well here goes.
Im on VODAPHONE PAYT and got traffic on my TOMTOM 910 and could'nt get it working at first, the phone kept saying CONN FAILURE CHECK SETTINGS on my SONY ERICSSON W810I mobile, after a while of this i eventually found these settings which actually worked which was:
APN= pp.vodaphone.co.uk
USERNAME= web
PASSWORD= web
IP= automatic
DNS= automatic
DIAL= *99***1#
LOGIN SCRIPT= atz+cgdcont=1,''ip'',''pp.vodaphone.co.uk'','''',o,o
I used this with great success when i went on holiday in the lake district, but on the last day to come home traffic would'nt work and said that my traffic subscription had ran out even though i had a years subs until august next year, GREAT AAHHHHHHHH.
Tomtom told me to reset my traffic which i did and it works connected to the computer but not the mobile. I've tried everything on this forum but the phone still comes up CONN FAILURE CHECK SETTINGS. VODAPHONE keeps blaming TOMTOM and my GPRS is working so what the hell is going on.
I TOLD YOU IT WAS LONG. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME AS I'M GOING MAD WITH THIS.
