HI,
I downloaded the speed camera released on 04 oct 06, There are 24 types of camera all the types are shown in the Manage - Enable/Disable POI MENU *** EXCEPT the
pocketgps uk specs 20,30,40 etc
pocketgps uk redlight
pocketgps uk temp
Does tomtom mobile 5.2 only display a limited number of POIs because when i try to create one of the above categories it displays the message
'Category already exists' ?
Can anyone please educate me on this one.
Many thanks in advance |

If it is the same as the TomTom "Go's"; on v5 software you can only have 39 added POI categories (not counting the built-in ones).
If you add more onto the unit, some (not neccessarily the last ones added) simply don't show up. Try removing physically removing some other categories if you think this could be the problem.
The limit was increased to 100 in v6 software. |

Hello Andy,
It seems when i new POI category for example 'test' it works but doesn't show on the Manage Enable/Disable POI menu
If it's not showing, how do i configure the software to alert me when near the cameras not showing on the list.
Thanks for your kind help.

If it is not showing, you can't set an alert.
The limit is definitely custom 39POI's in v5.2.
If you have less than that, and it is still not working, try reloading the database (should not cost you again) and see if that works. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

The standard default POI's are encrypted into POI.dat, so the only Files that you have added and can safely delete will be OV2 and BMP Files. 1 of each for each category.
Just count how many OV2 Files you have in the Map Folder, and see if you have exceeded the 39.;) _________________ Richard
