How do I identify the firmware version on my Nokia 6680. I was intending to buy the TT5 mobile as I dont think TT6 works on the 6680. I also have an issue that the phone is locked to the Orange network and therefore the Orange interface runs on top of the phone. Will this cause a problem when running TT5. Obviously I would like to know the phones limitations before I pay out for TT.

enter *#0000# and that will give you your phone's firmware version

I have an Orange branded 6680 and TT5 runs fine on it with version 4.04.07 firmware.

I had my original Orange firmware removed by my local Nokia service centre and replaced with the generic Nokia firmware and TT ran fine on both systems. I made the mistake of then using Nokia's own downloadable firmware updating software and this then "broke" my original 6680 which Orange replaced.

I have since taken my replacement back to the same service cenetre but the generic update would install on my "new" phone so I am stuck with using the orange firmware.

TT5 runs with no problems the only issue is the phone is restricted on memory due to the orange firmware so if I have been web browsing or some other highly memory intensive action then I may have to reboot the phone before TT will run.
