Hi everyone I just brought a tomtom one and when i put my post code in that works fine etc but when it comes with the screen to put my the housenumber in it keeps coming up with only between 101 and 111 in any post code or road I use.
So is there something wrong with my tomtom
I mean it finds my location good just why is it doing this ? |

The data is wrong. I get something likst this too... if I put my postcode in it gets the wrong place.
Try reporting the error to tomtom, or to either teleatlas or navteq depending on whether you have a v2 or not.
It won't help you but eventually it'll get fixed. |

it dosnt have mine either.. it has the house next door thow.. as long as it gets me somewhere in the vicinity i dont mind.. i can find my own way from the house next door.. he he
i dont think the maps will ever really get fixed to be honest.. the logistics of keeping everything uptodate is just too great.. we are just gonna have to accept that sat/nav devices aint perfect..

If you are struggling to set your home location using a postcode why not use the Change Preferences/ Change Home location to/ GPS Position this method is considerably more accurate, postcodes in certain areas can cover large expanses of land.
When I encounter the problem of it not allowing the house number I know to be correct, I simply enter the nearest available (which the unit automatically enters) - you only need to select it - when using Navigate To/ Address/ PostCode
