Are you sure it is a TT500? Only the x10 range has that facility on Tom Tom so it is probably the 510. _________________ Peter

AFAIK not on the 300 or 500.
Are you sure his is not showing speed camera positions with their speed limits instead? That will give you a speed limit, but only where there is a camera. If that is the case you can subscribe to this site (£2 per month or £19 per year) and download the camera database onto your 300. _________________ Peter

I know on some of the Tomtom's if you select your speed to be displayed then beside the speed you are doing is also displayed the speed limit of the road you are on. If you exceed this limit by a certain margin the indicated speeds both flash in red. This is dependant on availability of information from the map data and is not available for every road (the display just shows your speed if not available). I have the Tomtom One v2 and have found the speed limit where available to be wrong as often as it is right so don't rely on it too much. |

this only applies to the new generation of Tom Toms, i.e. the new One or the Go x10 series. the older x00 (of which the TT300 is one, does not have this facility. _________________ Peter
