Hey all,
Ive been reading the reviews of TTN6 within the forums. I noticed someone post a comment saying they cannot get TTN6 into landscape mode on their WM2003 PDA and that the app no longer supports screen rotation.
Before I purchase TTN6, can someone confirm to me that this is correct? Problem I have is that my PDA mounting is set at landscape and would require a lot of hassle to change that to portrait.
I know within WM2005 it supports landscape mode for most apps, but my very old Acer N35 is running WM2003 where only a few apps can run in landscape mode.
Your help would be greatly appreciated since it lets me decide if I need a new PDA too !!! 8O |

I have TTN6 on a T-Mobile Vario (WM5) hen the screen rotates so does TT.
This quite suprised me as i was expecting to look for the rotate screen option but as you say it's not there.
Hopefully someone with wm2003 can post soon. _________________ Well if I had one wish in this god forsaken world, kids

Ttn6 will not run in landscape on windows 2003, you will need to upgrade to 2003se to give you landscape mode, I have just followed the upgrade path on my Mio 168, and it is quite easy and works well, I believe it also covers acer and other models, see this site www.abuzant.com.
Hope this helps |

Amusing update for you all. Well I found the Windows 2003 SE software for my Acer N35. Downloaded it from Acer and prepared the flash file. Part of flash procedure was to plug in power and move the hard reset switch. Well clumsy thumbs here pressed too hard with the screwdriver and broke the hard reset switch.
So I have a pda which I have factory reset back to Windows 2003. I guess I can now give this to my sister as a present !!!
So just ordered a Mio P550 since it has a sirf 3 GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth all onboard, which suits me down to the ground.
Now I just need to order tom-tom 6, however looking at their website, it seems that the "buy now" button is not there.
Im having a baaad day! |

I have a HP iPAQ h4150 which is not upgradable to Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.
I would like to upgrade my TTN5 to TTN6 but the fact that due to my polarized sun glasses I won't be able to see anything on my iPAQ's display if it's portrait makes me hesitate.
I hope that Nydidot Virtual Display software would be an answer but can anyone confirm if it works ok in landscape with TTN6 on Windows Mobile 2003? At least it does not work properly with TTN5.
Thank You! _________________ TomTom Navigator 5 + HP iPAQ h4150 + Royaltek RBT-2001 |
