OK, moan all you like, but be aware I just won't care...
I've happened to see both the dodgy beta version of TT6 and also iGo.
Both use Teleatlas, and both have the same huge problems, so I assume its not a beta issue - its a mapping mess up.
A1(M) Improvement North Yorkshire - Used to be a pain in the arse, and still in. Road layout is STILL wrong, old roads STILL shown as well as the NEW stuff, but the new stuff is not in the correct location - its too far east. You can see it, but TT thinks your driving across a field.
Mansfield Southern relief road - Same as above. New road is now shown, but that, and even existing roads, which haven't altered(!) have been messed around for no apparently reason so now are ever so slightly in the wrong place.
I've also seen similar problems at other new roads/layouts. It seems a massive messup on Teleatlases part as its common on iGo and TT6. Looking at the plan view, it appears with the A1 they've straight-lined a guessimate route. Shocking.
Any other howlers? |

sorry but a1 on my maps is fine its only when you turn to the the coner over the m62 that tt misses the road and put you in a field.
igo works fine for me
personally once heading in the right dierction I tend to ignore thee nav untill the junction needed. I usually follow the big blue signs above the motorway _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Aha a man with local knowledge!
I'll be a bit more specific...
The southern terminus of the motorway is wrong - namely the new bridge to carry the OLD a1 over the new bit.
As you pointed out - the M62 area is dodgy to say the least.
Around the A63 junction near the old Selby Fork is also wrong.
Do these work OK with you? |

Feel free to report the map error to Teleatlas. _________________ Lutz

Just hired a Vectra with built in Sat Nav, brand new model running 2007 version of Navteq maps. Having driven on this new junction all I can say is Teleatlas have it 95% up to date, whilst Navteq do not have any of the new layout listed.
Overall my PDA version of TTN out-performs the built in system. _________________ Mio P550 Mio 3 TTN 6 2GB SD Card, Ipaq 5450: Integral 1Gb SD card, TTN 6, POICapture, PPC 2003 |
