So far 1 week and still rock solid
I'm on the list for a new mount so I took my old one apart.
I stretched the springs about an 1/8 inch then used some scothbright (sandpaper) to scufff up the ball and pressure pad. Easy fix!
Moves easy when unlocked and ROCK SOLID when locked
Its even hard to move by hand when locked
so far so good |

TomTom could have saved themselves a lot of money by sending out a "rough up the ball and bend the contacts a bit" kit! :D |

I orded a replacement mount from TomTom and sold it on Ebay for £39.99 + £3.99 P&P (Buy It Now Format). I've noticed their fetching upto £60 on Ebay. |
