Has anybody got any experience of using their nuvi abroad , ie Germany Belgium ,france . I understand that i will have to use the european DVD that came in the box to download to an SD card . as the unit comes out of the box with only GB maps loaded . Do i download these maps to the same SD card as i download the speed camera POI,s.Presumably I will need a big card ie 1 or 2 gig !
Where is the conitnental speed cam data base located ?
Any help for a nuvi virgin , gratefully accepted,Peter

You only need a larger card if you want the whole of Europe, or lots of it on the Nuvi available at one time - when I went to France, I loaded about 7 map tiles from Mapsource, and it only took 60Mb. Actually, if you use POI Loader, I think you will find the speed cameras are stored on the main Nuvi itself, not on the SD card, which is normally only used for mp3 music and maps.

PGPSW has a European database as well, although you need to check whether a speed camera database is legal or illegal in the country you visit (you wouldn't want them to take away your Nuvi...), although I've never used it to know how accurate it is.

On my nuvi 310D, I loaded Western Europe plus the main Scandinavian cities on a 1GB card.
This takes-up 650MB.
