Unzipped ok but the folder containing ov.2 files is not readable.
I tried unzipping that but warned it was unreadable, I do I get to see the files in that folder in order to copy them to myTT1 card.? |

From your image you have downloaded the single file version "pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2", so there IS NO folder. Everything looks correct.
If you downloaded one of the other options, you would get several .ov2 files
You also have the correct .bmp for that ov2, but it looks like you have not yet turned off "Hide extensions for known file types" in TOOLS / FOLDER OPTIONS / VIEW tab. Do that and you will have a better idea of what is going on (especially with Linux files where some have the same name before the extension (or no extension at all). While you are at it, select "Show hidden files and folders" in the same place too! |

Checked all that, yes it was the single file. I am trying to copy to the SD
card only from the PC using a card reader. How can I do that without accessing the folder containg the files?
I did it with the last upgrade but this one seems different. |

Where the files are unzipped simply select all of the .ov2 and .bmp files so they are highlighted, right click and select "Copy"
Go to the SD card, open the GB map folder and in free space within Windows Explorer right click and select "Paste" from the pop-up, the files will then transfer across to the card, if the computer prompts to overwrite existing file simply click Yes - Mike |

Don't worry about the file being unrecognised this is only because the PC doesn't know what to do with that data format, the TomTom software will recognise it and use it, give it a try and post back your findings - Mike |

2nd October, and no update to the database??
I note the last upadate was 150906, which is NORMALLY released at the end of the month.
Will there be a release shortly, or (going forward) will the Db be released mid month in future??
Maybe Darren's on holiday
cheers

Normal depends on what I am doing at the time...
I am spreading my knowledge of database releases around at the moment as I will be away for nearly a month. I was schedulled to release a database today as part of the training, but due to personal problems the training has had to be cancelled. A new database will be released today however. _________________ Mike Barrett |
