I BOUGHT A NEW 310D FROM HALFORDS FOR £299 A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. THE UNIT IS SHOWING:
SW - 2.20
AUDIO - 2.10
GTM SW VERSION - N/A
GPS SW VERSION - 2.50
BLUETOOTH SW VERSION - 2.12
OTHER PEOPLE ON THE FORUM ARE SHOWING UPDATES TO ALL OF THE ABOVE. THE ONLY ONE I CAN FIND ON THE GARMIN WEBSITE IS FOR THE 310 SOFTWARE VERSION NOW AT 2.90. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ALL THE RELEVANT SOFTWARE UPDATES FROM PLEASE? |

If you download the latest firmware from Garmin it will update both the main software and some of the other components as well. Once you have performed that manual firmware update, download and run WebUpdater to ensure there are no futher updates for your unit. |

Yes - until the very latest version of WebUpdater it was possible to corrupt the unit with WebUpdater. Although this is supposed to be fixed with the latest version, no one has really tested it for this function.
However, once you have updated the main firmware, feel free to use WebUpdater to update other smaller components - WebUpdater is fine for these updates. |

when the webupdates indicates there are no updates, watch out for the next paragraph that says that there may be other updates, because that is where the peripheral updates (audio, bluetooth and TMC) will be found.
It's not immediately obvious, because you might be inclined to cancel once you see the first message that says there are no updates. |
