I maybe being dumb but you just buy them off TomTom's website (under Plus services). For example, the last GB map is 59.95 euros. |

Is this right that there will be NO upgrade package giving a reduced price for existing customers?
If so it confirms the contempt in which TomTom hold their users |

It's funny, speaking to user I know and reading the forums here it would appear that if your Tom Tom works out of the box then it's a great bit of kit but if you need info or it goes belly up, forget it you're on your own.
Pretty poor attitude re: customer service. |

Dear B,
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support.
Support for Navigator 6 is on a per-phone basis, not on operating system.
Navigator 6 is a heavier more advanced program than mobile 5 was and requires more processing power and memory to run properly.
As far as we know at this point there are plan to create a last update for Mobile 5 to allow the use of version 6 maps with it, but we cannot say this with 100% certainty at this point.
We will let you know through the TomTom newsletters when this information becomes available.
You can subscribe to receive the required newsletters by following the steps given below |
