Make sure the TomTom folder is empty, but other than that everything appears to be OK, have you tried a soft reset of the PDA before running up the TomTom application then configuring the voices? - Mike

Hello Mike,
I've done the soft reset a few times now, but it does not make a difference.
On the SD card i have a tomtom folder, with the voices folder within that, and thats empty.
I have added a folder called voices onto the SD card and all my voice files are in that.
The only way i can get the voices to run is if i put some voice files into my programe folder and then within a sub folder called Navigator
I'd like to think that i've done everything you told me word for word/step by step.
I'm stuck now.
The only think i can think for me to do is wipe my SD card clean and start again.

Use File Explorer on the PDA go to the storage card tap and hold the tomtom folder and select Delete from the Pop-up box.
Now select Edit (Lower left of screen) and select "New Folder" name the new folder tomtom soft reset the device and try again - Mike

Hi Mike,
Just done that like you said working from my PDA, but still nothing.
Also using the same method my a sub folder called voices, then a soft reset but still nothing.

You don't need a sub folder in the tomtom folder please get rid of it.
The voices folder should reside in the Root directory of the SD card i.e. the highest level, when you first open the SD card on the device a number of folders should be displayed, can you list them all on here so we can have a closer look at what is going on - Mike

I've removed the sub folder from the tomtom folder on the SD card.
Whats on the SD card is as follows
1. GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE
2.Guam ( which is another map but u/s
3. ITN
4. LICENCES
5. ZIP
6. RASTER
7. tomtom
8. Voices

Keith is that the exact spelling of each folder name? - if so where did you get the TTN installation from - Mike

Mike the spelling is correct, as i copied and pasted every folders name onto the list.
The TTN can with the TT6 as i wiped the SD card of TT5 and then put on TT6, the TTN came with it.

Keith, I suspect this is probably not a true licensed copy, for a start TomTom doesn't arrive with BOTH version 5 and 6 at the same time, and as version 6 for the PDA is not yet available for purchase - where did it come from, quite often e-bay and such places, sell pirate software that is not the full release standard and certain functionality will / maybe missing, I would wait until the official release of the product then you can purchase a fully working and licensed version - Mike

Hi Mike,
i already had tt5 on my pda, i just wiped the card clean and then load tt6 onto it.
It must be ok, as i've downloaded the gatso and whatever from this site, plus i've also changed the warning set up from cow, bugle to voices.

But even if it's not a true licensed copy, it still works and my only problem is getting the voices to work
