Advanced Planning is on the second main menu screen. If it isn't then I'd guess its not something you'll fix today.
The Home program they are referring to is the PC application used with newer releases of TT software that allows you to operate many of the device's functions from your PC, back it up, install extras, etc. I don;t think it would make any difference to your menu structures. |

If it is on the TomTom unit you are wanting to advance plan on rather than TThome, make sure you have show all options selected, choose change preferences and select next page untill you can see an icon named " Show ALL menu options" select it, you should then see the advanced planning option on your TomTom. |

Advanced Planning MUST have been there, as all TomToms use the same generic software.
The only reasons I can think of for "losing" the menu entry are:
1 ) In Version 6 it may be one of the items that are hidden unless "Show all menu options" is selected as described above
2 ) You have installed some extra (POICapture perhaps?) that has customised the menu structure (a search on these forums will show how you can do that yourself).
Could you tell us what icons you have on every page of the main menu?
If you want, you could try the Restore Factory Settings menu option, but you will lose everything you have added like home location etc.
As usual, TomTom's advice did not adress the problem you have, but sugested something fairly unconnected! |

Andy..
Advanced Planning MUST have been there, as all TomToms use the same (blah blah)....
(Blah Blah).... TomTom's advice did not address the problem you have, but suggested something fairly unconnected!
Wonder how many other people find this with TomTom?? They DO tend to sometimes answer unrelated questions, or do not READ the questions properly!
Cheers
