|
|
Hi all
TTG 510 arrived today, installed camera db no problem, all seems fine....went to put the nice 'warning sounds' on, instructions on forum say go to 'Change Preferences' and go to the 'About' section to find out what version I need.... except I can't find an 'About' section, the button isn't there!
Any help appreciated!
Thanks

Paul before you start doing this please make sure you have a full back up of the SD Card in the TomTom device. You should store this on the PC and burn a copy to CD.
You can find what version your device is running by tapping the sat strength meter in the lower right corner of the main nav screen, next tap the version number on the right of the screen and the version info will be displayed - Mike |

Thanks Mike, worked fine.
A bigger problem seems to be that the device resets itself everytime I switch it on/off. It wants to go through all of the set up stuff each time, I'm thinking it must be faulty....? |

Did it do this before you altered the data.chk file? - if so there is a problem, if this has only strated since you altered the file then its this file the unit isn't happy with, try swapping the old data.chk back on to the device and see if it still behaves the same way - Mike |

Found a thread in the TomTom section, advised to download flash exe. Did this, it doesn't lose the settings now (only tried it twice though) but.......
If I press the eject button on the home screen, the 510 freezes and I can't switch it off without reseting it, god damn thing!!! |
