I have a nuvi 300 gps which I would like to use with the speed camera database. However, what I would really like to do is set up the unit to warn me when I am exceeding the speed limit on any stretch of road.
I noticed on a friends garmin (same model), the gps beeps to warn he is travelling too fast approaching a camera. Is this functionality also available to warn drivers of their speed in all zones, not just camera points?
Thanks! |

Don't know if it will help ( I have read all the reviews on the Nuvi 300 ) but I only (only?) have a Navman. On mine you can set/program a specific speed into the device and when you reach that speed, there is an audible warning. I suspect you are wanting too much to get an audible warning of approaching speed zones - if that is what you mean. However, with the massive improvements in navigation software, anything is possible. I could not see any mention in the reviews of what you want. _________________ Gee-Pee

thanks for the welcome and quick reply!
I did think i was asking a bit much for the unit to be able to identify all speed zones. Ill settle for speed cameras
The nuvi is a nice piece of kit. I switched from a tomtom one as the all-ireland coverage was abysmal. Navteq seem to have the most comprehensive map data out there. |
