A friend tried to install on his mio 168, and says it will get so far into setting up but then locks his PDA, while with 5 everything is great. Do I assume a) His PDA is knackered or b) 6 is not compatible with the mio 168

Anyone know whether the new version 6 software will have the text to speech stuff that the GO910 has?!! That sounded a pretty cool addition to me!
As far as I am aware the text to speech will only be available on the 910 due to the size of the phonme database, which is really massive. _________________ Mike Barrett
OK, got it worked out. it doesn't freeze the mio, it slows it down so that after a tap. you need to wait up to 2 mins for it to register. but this is only on TT6, all other progs work fine, so, I figure its a memory issue. dont have a clue how to add memory!

That's OK. I'm sure your friend won't want to keep that illegal software on his Mio anyway. _________________ Tim

* Palm: Palm Treo 700P NR.03, Palm Treo 700W, PalmOne Treo 650
Given that 700P and 650 are listed I take it that Palm OS is being supported. In which case I wonder why the TX, T5, etc. aren't listed?

So does anyone have any idea as to an actual date we can get our grubby hands on v6? Is it likely to be the end of September or before?
I posted previously about compatibilty with a Mio A201, interestingly on teh TOMTOM website they don't list it as one of the compatible PDA's when looking at the Navigator 6 GB product ,but if you look at the features page on the Navigator 6 + map of western Europe they list it

Too many pre-release versions in the hands of testers, reviewers etc.
It would have been more sensible to delay announcing TT6 until the day it became available for purchase. I've read on a retail site it will be available on Sept 15th.

Thanks for replying spook51, so according to that it comes from a source obviously trusted by TT. _________________ regards tradesman

My Ipaq 3970 is now apparently so old it is not supported by tt6.
Landscape view is not available in tt6.
Now I have lost interest.
So, where can I just obtain updated maps for my Navigator 5 software.
