Hi

You do need to apply some pressure (the body of the nuvi might "creak" a bit) to get the full lock (clicking noise) but not so much as to feel its going to break, unless of course you have a faulty mount. My biggest problem at the moment with the mount is that it's always falling off the windscreen. Garmin have told me they are looking into a new design / material for the sucker. As you can imagine it's annoying and dangerous! Anyone had similar issues and managed to resolve them?

I agree with your comments regarding customer services, I have found Garmin to be polite and helpful but they are probably under-resourced and lack of info. from head office in the US.

Good luck with the new mount.

Nick

Had the same problem as you with the cup popping off the glass, found a total cure for that by making the sucker damp before sticking on the screen.

Hi

Thanks for the tip, although I'm not sure what my boss will think when I start licking the mount everytime I use it! Laughing

If only the other problems with the Nuvi were this easily solved!

Nick

Hi Guys...

Just teasing, I'll have to remember to take a wet wipe or something similar with me. On the other hand, perhaps Garmin can develop a strawberry flavoured suction cup? Laughing

i just got My RAM mount for my Nuvi 310 from the ebay guy mentioned, even through he got alot of negatives, with me he was xlnt he relied to my emails instantly and i recevied my mounts within a week of ordering.

now for the mount:

i ordered the RAM mount. now this is solid mount and i love it, you can attach your rear clip for the charger to go into so you can use your GMT 12 traffic on the side one all fits perfectly.

now the hold ability of the mount is solid i went over bumps and pot holes on purpose to see how well it hold it, damn nuvi didnt even move - Perfect.

you can adjust it up and down and side to side from both sides meanin from the holder of the suction cup to the holder of the nuvi.

oh yeah its very simple to remove and put back with easy so you can hide it away, to avoid advertising to theives.

any other question just ask.

Highly recommended.

I aint tried the others mounts he is selling just this one.
