I've gone back to version 5
no landscape view, problem with voices (may be my copy) and my iPaq 2210 isn't supported (not on website and kept getting a pop-up telling me this version of Navigator isn't compatable with this device), which is something a lot of people may need to look at as there's not as many devices supported with the new version! _________________ ----------------------

Those are the sort of things that I’d expect from a cracked beta or even alpha version. An iPAQ h2210 runs WM2003SE as standard and therefore should be comfortable running Navigator 6.

Regards, | well, my 2210 is running MS PPC 4.20.1081 (not sure if that's 2003SE or not!) and it keeps coming up with that error (and the h2210 isn't listed on the Tomtom site for v6). The voices were fine yesterday when I used a CF card but today I switched to SD and did a hard reset and the voices can't be found but that may be the way I've installed it. Am going to wait for a more stable version now anyway _________________ ----------------------

A standard 2210 will run TomTom Navigator 6.

Hi,
TomTom Navigator v6
There is just too much misinformation here. You can switch between landscape and portrait modes on the fly and voices do work. It's also faster and smoother on Windows Mobile 2003 SE and later.
I suspect the posters above are using cracked beta versions which did show these problems.
If you don't have a legitimate released version STOP spreading false information. |

Perhaps I should add to the above that the Portrait to Landscape switching is acheived using the native switching in WM 2003SE and above. i.e. As it always should have been! |

Hi all,

scotch_whisky can you please let us know where you are getting your info from? is it first hand or are you quoting from the TomTom website?
The majority of users I know run TomTom 5 on PDA's that came pre installed with 2003 so if we want view it in landscape mode we have to use the INCLUDED screen rotation facility on version 5. So unless there is a screen rotation icon on version 6, users on 2003 PDA’s like the 2210 cannot ‘officially’ use it in landscape mode.
But please let us know where you are getting your info from as previous posters on this forum have.
Thanks & regards |

iPAQ, there is no screen rotation available from within TTN6. Therefore WM2003 users are limited to portrait mode unless they have a 3rd party app., like NYDITOT. WM2003SE users can use the orientation app. that comes with that OS. Whether or not it works 'on the fly' I don't know, as I don't have a device running SE.
My information is first hand with the authorised release version. _________________ Tim |
