I was lucky and caught the thief red handed. But he ran off into a waiting car. The cars reg is S662 JJH and it is a blue ford KA. Apparently the car is known to the police. My sat nav and car was in the area of Winchmore Hill, Enfield. The three occupants were IC3'S in origin and aged between 17/21. If you see this car please phone 999 (this is what the police told me). These people are known to steal sat navs so beware. |

Manufacturer: Tomtom
Model: Go (original)
Serial No: -unknown- still have all packaging and the CD with the serial number on it!
Identifying Marks: Screen Protector fitted and startup screen changed to "Litewire Solutions Ltd" - although this has probably been removed by now. Also had "Speed Camera", "CEF" & "Litewire Customer" POIs installed. Had also changed the default sounds to the ones from this site for the speed camera warnings - "Gatso 30" etc... Windscreen bracket with external aerial cable broken but still attached to bracket...
Stolen from Heronfield Way, Solihull around 2 months ago. Reported to police. Had a call to say they had arrested a guy who admitted to stealing around 14 in the area about 3 weeks ago and had sold them nr Sparkbrook, Birmingham. _________________ ---

Just remembered - I had changed the menus too, so that "Clear Route" was on the 1st screen and the items I didn't use were removed. Had also install the SatSync software etc., and the menus said "Matt's Menu 1" etc etc as you went through them...
Not sure why I am posting all this, as I have more chance of winning the lottery than seeing it again
But I suppose it has to be worth a try... _________________ ---
