Please excuse my ignorance I'm not the best with gadgets but any help you can give me is much appreciated.
I recently purchased a garmin nuvi 300 from gpsuk. Does it use postcodes to find destinations, I dont rate the user guide very highly!
I also purchased a camera download? How do I get that onto my device?
Thanks alot |

Yes to a degree but it is far more accurate using street name and number etc.

Try looking at the stickys at the top of the forum or http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=17702 for fuller info.
but in essence extract (if in zip format) the files to a directory. Connect your device - Run POI Loader available from http://www.garmin.com/products/poiloader/http://www.garmin.com/products/poiloader/ - pointing it at the directory you put the files and bob your uncle.
or it was for me.
Good Luck |

Hi k3ndo,
to the forum.
Your best bet is to use the search facility, kindly provided by pgpsw. The answers to both of your questions have already been asked and answered.

Sorry to sound thick but when I purchased my nuvi 300 I also purhased a speed camera database download, there are some cameras on my device that I never put on it? So I am confused I also received an e-mail with a link to the camera database page so my question is what did I pay the £10.00 for, a link to the camera page? Because if I want to download the database I have to subscribe (pay) whats that about? Im more than a bit confused tbh. |
