i was driving along a busy road and tried to turn right but i couldnt my tom tom one never told me i couldnt , so my question is do tom tom update street maps for the uk or do i have to buy them? |

It didn't tell you that you couldn't, but did it actually tell you that it could? i.e. were you actually navigating a route and did your TomTom suggest that the turn was permissible?
Maps are generally updated yearly and need to be bought. _________________ Tim |

yeah i had the route planned and it said turn right which i did only to find that the road had been blocked and i couldnt continue any further, do you have any idea how mcuh updated maps would cost i just bought my tomtom one 2 months ago

In that case you probably have the most up to date maps available for your unit. Because of the time scales (and the large job it is) updates are often already a year out of date by the time they are distributed by the sat nav manufacturer.
I don't have a problem with this. I find that if I follow my nose for a bit TT will finally recognise the road I am on (assuming i am back on the old bit) and re-calculate my route and start telling me where to go. _________________ Peter

Sheephorse.... do you know there is a TomTom forum HERE, where this could be better discussed. This part of the forum is suppposed to be about the Speed Camera Database. |
