In the GB Map folder will be a file named "Great_Britain_Plus-Map.cfg" (this is for the Plus map but the GB map will be similar - look for the .cfg file extension)
Once you have the device set-up correctly i.e. fully configured, home/ warnings etc, copy and paste this file into a different folder on the memory card (create one if need be).
If it crashes, simply copy and paste the copy of the file back into the GB map folder overwriting the damaged file, this action will restore all your settings for home/ POI warnings etc. - Mike |

You need to copy the .cfg file across to the PC, right click the file in Windows Explorer and untick the "Read Only" file attribute, once this is done copy the file back to the GB map folder on the PDA then you can set-up the Navigator as you want THEN copy the file to another location (just in case). If the file is set to read only it will not record the settings you make, so do the above first before creating the copy -
Just one other thought the read/ write lock switch isn't set to Lock on the Memory card is it? - this would cause the same effect - Mike |

Brad
Best thing to do is backup your PDA to SD card, then if you have to do a hard reset you can just do a restore operation which brings everything back as it was before the reset. ;) |
