This thread concerns the TomTom ONE MKII model which has just been launched in the US and not the existing ONE unit.
As for Mark's question, whilst I'm sure it will make it here at some point we have no information on when that might be.

| Darren: Thanks for your comments, however the ONE I purchased last month was 25mm thick and had the USB connector. I purchased it from Halfords for 249 pounds. I was small and light, fit into my pocket with ease and I don't remember seeing any headphone connector. So if the unit I had is what you call the MKII, then it is available now. If you are in the UK, you may like to ring Halfords and ask them. Thanks for keeping on top of this issue. |

If it's case is Black it is the original ONE, I can assure you the later model which this thread concerns (and has a silver case) is not available in the UK.

BUT not as good as the Nuvi.
Garmin Nuvi is still THE GPS.

| I'd still like to give the One a testdrive now that its available in the states to see how it compares with the other ones out there. I still think this is the sharpest GPS I've seen. |

You can currently get the TT one for £179 delivered from Currys.co.uk (this is the standard UK TomTom one not the new us version - just to be clear). The actual price is £199 inc FREE delivery. Use offer code ** PERK20 ** to get £20 off. Go through Quidco for 2% cashback ( ~£3). After all savings, the price is ~ £176 delivered. This is the best price i have ever seen a TT one for - just thought i would mention as it sounded like you were maybe looking for a good price for one!

You are referring to the original ONE model. The new MKII model has only been announced today for a European release and won't be in the shops until September.
I've added a new front page news item regarding todays announcement of the two new European ONE MKII models.
