Hypothetically, would the setup.exe work if I had the rest of a TT installation (but which had start.exe rather than setup)?

I still don't get one thing:

Why does TT5 with start.exe work fine on an Ipaq and not on a Medion 96800??

Yay! I've been getting loads and loads of messages from people that have not had any luck with installing this...

And i'm glad that i've found at least one person that has had some luck with it!

I have reset My mdpna175 to show windows CE but every time I use navigation software the thin grey bar at the bottom of the screen disappears. It won't come back unless I reset with the reset button. Is there a tweak for this?

It does happpen. What u need to do is make a shortcut to the showtaskbar.exe on the desktop and when the bar vanishes all you need to do is double click the shortcut and the bar appears again

Ive copied regedit to the startup folder and the modified registry file to the Medion folder but when i try and import the modified Reg file into regedit it just locks the device up. Any suggestions?

Finally got this working and now have a fully functioning MDPNA175 runninng TOMTOM 5.21 and V6.32 great britain Maps Smile

One thing i did find useful was removing the installation of the original Navigator software as TOMTOM wouldn't run with it side by side.

Have already posted this on other thread so apologies but this seems more appropriate. Have loaded legit TTN5 on my Medion 95900 and it boots up but with scramble screen so cannot complete setup. Any tips on how to change the resoluntion.
Thanks

I have read that this could be caused by Navigon(?) and tomtom running together - try uninstalling Navigon from activesync
