Hi Guys, have hit a big problem with the Low Bridges software.
Downloaded and installed it onto my Tom Tom 300. It shows in the POI section and I have put a 400 yard warning and ticked the enable box.
However, it is not working at all. I then tried it on my wifes TT One and my neighbours TT one...........same problem, not working. Tried my mate snew TT 510 and still not working. Have checked and re-checked the installation and installed files and all looks well.
1) Is anyone else getting this problem?
2) Any boffins on here that can put me right ?
Thanks in advance mateys !

I doubt that I have no more categories than anyone else. The only different cats I have to when I bought it are speed cams.
Its also a 1 gig SD card so it shouldn't really matter.
If the problem was just on mine, then fair enough, but on 4 units ?

petsonally I've never used lowbridges data.
I did buy a database from tomtom poi but have never had any updates in nearly 12 months.
I use robindata for day to day and find it fine _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

I want the low bridges as I drive a lorry and twice I have had to reverse out of a sticky situation because I could not get under the bridge.
Copieed the correct files over.
Will try the download site mentioned above.

I also use robin's excellent data at www.willow-house.co.uk it’s a very good data- base.
Try http://www.amngps4.wanadoo.co.uk/poifil.htm for an alternative bridge
Data-base
I am currently using a file I created by merging both sets of files together using "poi manager" which has managed to fill in quite a few of the gaps in robins data, + I add bridges to the data base as I encounter them on my travels
If you are using tomtom be sure to have a valid bmp file with the same name as your ov2 file i.e. bridge.ov2, bridge.bmp or your poi’s will not show up! _________________ Gangalee

My Low Bridge is showing up on my Tom Tom as a POI and I have placed a warning to sound when within 300yards of one, but not working.
I will check out that other link you have provided and see what happens.
Many thanks for all your help.
Its getting annoying now

I will then add them all to the http://www.poihandler.com page, dont worry about the co-ordinates but the actual location on a map will have to be reasonably accurate for me to find it.
Email me at akjw@f2s.com | Hi theoldbuffer just a big thank you just looked at the site for motor homes it looks great

Is this data kept up to date, as It seems to be about three years since anyone posted, which seems odd as it would benefit so many people.
Is there another source for this free database.
cheers Kev. |

Hi Kev,
Assuming you mean robin's or amngps4 database i dont think they are being updated, but will stand corrected.
Another current free source is here:
http://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/united_kingdom/transportation/Low_Clearance-UK.html
I dont know how oftern this one is updated etc, but its also a very good database in comparison to others.
PGPSW is also currently preparing a low bridges database, which I believe will be given free to paying or lifetime members, more on this can be found here..
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=497914&highlight=#497914
Hope this helps,
