I have just tried a 1gb integral x66 speed sd card in my tomtom go300, and can't get it to work, pc won't recognise tomtom. I have tried re-formatting to fat and fat32 but no joy. I have copied all the files from a previous backup via my mp3 player but still no joy. PC sees the card ok through the mp3 player, tomtom home will even install v.15 update, but the go 300 doesn't even try and load.
Please can people post what manufacturer of a 1Gb card is currently working in a go300, myself and a few friends would like to upgrade from a 128mb card (because new software won't install, no room)
So I would rather take a recommendation from people who are using a 1Gb currently
Thanks

I had major problems with this issue. Finally discovered Kingston SD cards work OK. |

Hi Aeroflott,
Hence my question, If we get enough posts regarding what speed of card and manufacturer works, then maybe the mods could make it a sticky!! I have also asked TOMTOM to do the same and be more specific about the card type and transfer speeds, that are required to work on their hardware.
The card I am having trouble with works at x66 and 10kb/s transfer rate, which I believe should work. Can't beleive more people haven't posted a reply, surely loads of people are using a 1Gb card in a go300
Regards

TTs own cards are slower than most anyway!!!!!
With 6.150 "most" of the problems with slightly slower cards went away. |
