|
|
Hi,
I have a TomTom GO 300 upgraded to V6.14 I don't see any reason to update to V6.15. The problem I have is I have enabled PW protection, but tapping the screen on the numbers to enter my PW it can take anything from 3 to ....... number of times for the TomTom to come out of PW mode, is anyone else having these problems or can anyone offer any help regarding this problem?
Thanks,
Bob. |

6.15 apparently sorted out some problems so I'd say go for it. |

Hi
I had this problem on a number of occasions. In the end all I did was take out the SD card, then put it straight back in to my go 300, it reloaded and has been fine ever since.
Amazing how many little niggly problems can be sorted this way! _________________ chauf4

Hi thebinman,
I don't want to use V6.15 as I remember reading somthing about a person updating his TomTom to V6.15 and then it read V6.10! I know the upgrad to V6.15 was only for problems with some cards. I was able to upgrade to V6.12 the one they pulled and then to V6.14 with no problems, as I have no probelm with my SD card i am not going to change to V6.15.

That's not on the unit itself, but the version Home reports back. |

Hi Andi_P2002,
Ok on that being a problem of Home. However, I still don't see any reason for me to update from V6.14 to V6.15 as I will gain nothing.

Hi chauf4,
As I said in my other reply I would report back, I did as you said and it worked, however, I have still had problems but on removing the SD card it does solve the problem for some time.

Hi,
Well I have had to upgrade to V6.15 to stop the PW problem, I did remove the SD card and it helped for a short time but the problem kept coming back, One thing I have noticed is if you do not enter the PW every time but leave to PW screen there, do a short journey switch off next time I enter the PW it sometimes will not accept it as before, I am not sure why I am having this problem as eveyone else says they are having no problems!
