Hi all.
Have Garmin street pliot i3. Have downloaded camera alerts which show in the custom points page, but when passing a camera which the database knows is there, nothing happens - no audio and no icon displaying.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi again.
Followed the link and tried to follow the instructions, but on the find/replace function in Notepad it can't find "@"? So took out the 70- (60- etc) from it, but still no joy after reloading it.
Any further help gratefully received. Sounds like it should be straightforward! |

Have you turned Proximity Alerts on? Settings / Navigation / Proximity Alerts.
And my i3 alerts me on the approach to a camera whatever speed I'm doing. _________________ Anita

Hi Anita, thanx for the reply.
Alerts are on, but nothing showing or sounding - very annoying. Did you find the changing the cvs / gpx file bit straight forward? I hadto modify the instructions (from the forum), and I'm not sure I did the correct thing (see previous entry). Not sure where I'm going wrong
Look forward to any suggestions.

Hi Phil,
I haven't edited the files. I just downloaded the speed zoned camera database, using the instructions I posted here:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=28985&start=75
I don't know why it is that, while some people say they only get an alert if they're over the speed limit, my i3 has always alerted me as I approach a camera regardless of speed. _________________ Anita

Had a similer problem a while ago. There`s a mobile one round corner from me, parked in the same layby for months. Me garmin spoted it every time, then one day me nav told me he was there and never thought nought of it as i knew, but this time he was`nt and he has moved about a mile & half further up the road though me Nav said he was in his normal spot . i soon found and edited the detials for that camera and now all is good, |
