The PS2 protocol is different from RS232 or USB protocols.

Even if you'd connect the right cables it still wouldn't work. You will need to get a serial or USB GPS (or Bluetooth with a dongle) _________________ Lutz

Most of them only draw power from the PS/2 port. If you really want to connect a serial mouse to a PS/2 port you need a level converter - maybe some cables have that built in. _________________ Lutz

Just because the connector is PS2, doen't mean that it must obey to the PS2 standard.
Maybe is just a nice plug rather than a Db9 for instance...
On my research toninght I'm almost certain that the usb adaptor cable that fortuna sell's is in fact a usb to rs232 converter, just like the ones sold to add com port's to laptops, but whit ps2 connector on the other end insted off db9.
About the pinout, I don't know yet, but I will. I'm expecting my used, bought on ebay, fortuna u2 ps2 with a adaptor cable for de XDA II, whitch I have the pinout:

and when I'll put my hands on it I will figure that out.
Afther that I think I will build a homepage just for this mather because I found many people whith this same problem and no awser... |
