Anyone have any ideas how to get the voice commands to come through my bluetooth headset rather than loud speaker on my MDA Vario with TomTom Navigator 5.2.

The commands can come through wired handsfree, but i've no idea whether i can do it through bt headset with the bt connection to GPS also.

Any ideas/help?

cheers

I get the impression that there are separate BT profiles for the phone headset or audio headphone uses. If either your Vario or headset does have the headphone one, you can't do it.

The wired handsfree will connect to the PDA speaker feed, while the BT link will be via software, hence the need for a specific audio profile.

Never tried this but I have read you need to modify a registry setting.

Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand
Change LaunchAPEnable to 0

Use regedit for PPC. http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-bitsinside-regedit-v1-2.html
Backup your registry before making any changes.
