Hi anarchyuk, Since recieving mine a few days ago I have updated the speedcams about three four times, actually every time I look away from the pc and turn back again theres another update notification, I`m sure they shouldnt be every five minutes.
When I was out and about yesterday travelling along a road I knew there were some speedcams areas having been along it with the Nuvi bonging away, I didnt get a peep out of the mio so I`m not very happy with that part of it. Also as I mentioned on another thread, which wasnt answered, how is the main software updated? is that done via the miosync also?.
I would be more than happy if the speedcams issue could be sorted, as it stands it is very poor, what is the point of updating something which doesnt warn you anyway. I have the speed setting! set at +60% but on entering a 60mph area it start bleeping when I am on 50mph. This unit is brilliant except for a couple of annoying little things....speedcams and poi`s, although I am not too bothered about the poi`s.
Regards....Dil |

First make sure you have activated your account! on the mio site, then connect your mio up to the pc with the usb cable and turn it on ( The mio that is ) , then right click on the miosync icon in the bottom right of your pc and click on the top one. ( by the way I think it asks you first on the mio site to check if you have the latest software version, self explanatory just follow the guidelines).

I can't seem to get this to work, it just says my details are incorrect.
I registered the Mio, but this is the info I get on the website:
Activate MioSync
Your account is activated.
Your account expires on August 5th, 2007
You are using the following credentials:
Registration name:
Serial Number:
E-mail address:
the credentials are blank? anybody else have this?
I'm sure the ones I entered in Miosync are correct and I downloaded v1.2
Does it take a while for your info to become "active" on the site? |

I dont know if you have done this bit or not , but just in case you havent
Right click on the miosync icon in your taskbar, click on settings , page will open up, on there fill in the gaps with the exact details you used when you registered and tick the country you want to synchronize.
