|
|
I am constructing a database of POI's for my TomTom GO 700 but cannot find the existing POI (OV2) files anywhere in the TomTom GO 700 device when I plug it into my pc using the USB cable. I also want to edit some of the TomTom POI's by adding telephone number but cannot do this because I cant find the OV2 files. Does anyone know where I find the OV2 files? Any help would be appreciated, feel free to email me on jeffrey.clark3@btinternet.com |

Existing PoIs cannot be modified in any way. They are in the poi.dat file.
(having said that, there is a hack which I've not tried - I think it's on www.tomtomsatnav.info )
The .ov2 files and the matching .bmp files go in the "Western Europe Map Folder" but they will only be the ones you create on the GO or download. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Do you have any idea how I can replace a poi folder in tomtom with a self created folder of my own, allowing me to add poi's to an existing tt poi category? |

I did but i am not sure on how I go about it, the perl extract_ttpoi command in dos does not seem to work and for some reason I get some message about a bad poi 'repairage autmobiles' so really i need to be able to sit down perhaps with somone on the phone and go through it. |
