|

Hiya guys,
I am very disappointed today having taken the i3 with the latest firmware into Exeter (Devon) it was to put it mildly completely screwed! None of the road network even slightly matched.
Is there a way to raise this issue with Garmin? Or is it basically tough that the GPS doesnt work in this area!
I had to go and pick someone up from the coach station there, everything seemed ok when I programmed it in before hand, got there I got took down a 7 dead end roads, a one way street, taken into a parking lot by this time the thing was gunna end out the window, but I persisted just to see how screwed up its database was. I then got taken down a street, had to stop in traffic and got told "I had arrived at destination"!!! I mean what the......
Completely ridiculous! What would you recommend I do guys? |

Tried it again today guys, Exeter is completely mapped wrong!
How do I report an issue like this? With regard to the Garmin firmware verison is this the type of map updates they do.
Also near Duxford, Cambridgeshire the new road system screwed the GPS as well..... getting very frustrated with it, as at the moment its only good for telling you about speedcameras and even that wasn't anything to do with Garmin but thanks to you wonderful people. |

What map version number have you got loaded on the i3, forget the application number for the time being, Go to Settings/ Map/ MapSource if it displays City Navigator Europe NT+ v8 then its the latest map, if it is v7 please contact Garmin for a free upgrade to the latest maps - Mike |

You can go on the Navteq web site and report problems!
It does seem strange that no one else has reported problems. My brother had problems when he borrowed my I3 and drove into London to the same hotel I had been to.
He had a nightmare with the I3, being sent the wrong way etc and down one ways treets the wrong way.
He had placed the I3 centre console and quite a way in from base of screen.
Moving to right of the steering wheel and further forward solved the problem, the ubit had a better view of satellites, and his problem was solved. So befor you throw it just check riutes and check where you sit the I3 |

Exeter town centre has been ripped apart during the last year, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that many roads are now wrong, even in the latest map sets.
