|
|
Hi all,
I have tried to install the speed camera database onto my standard uk sd card on my Tom Tom ONE, and it works a treat..
Confusingly, i have just bought the full set of European maps (on cd) and transfered them to 6 separate 1gb sd cards.
ALL the cards have the GB map installed, along with different countries ie GB with France, GB with Italy, etc etc.(you get the idea!)
I have now tried to install the speed camera database on to the relevant GB file inserted on the Tomtom one as before, AND NOW IT WILL NOT WORK!
Is this because it has to share with another countries map?
I thought i had followed the instructions to the letter..but i still wont work..
any thoughts anyone....? |

I had the speed camera database on my original 128mb UK SD memory.
I made a backup onto a larger memory and then added other countries and it the speed camera database still works.
Currently I have UK, Iberia plus, France plus and speed camera on my SD memory. |

You need to put the safetycam POIs in each map folder you want to use it with. POI's are not shared amongst maps. _________________ GO1005

thanks for your help guys..
the reason they would not load on was i had several advance planning routes programmed in the unit.
I tried several times to no avail..gave up and decided to start from scratch.
I flattened the sd card, programmed the GB and French maps back on,
THEN placed the speed cameras into the GB map folder, EUREKA!
One to watch out for in the future i think.

I joined because I had been following a string relatging to the French databases which someone had been having difficulties in accessing. I would recommend that he tried this link:
http://www.alertegps.com/download_basic.asp?id_matos=98&m=1&ms=1
which is updated every month and should meet the current requirements. I cannot find the string any more, but maybe one of you might do the rerouting. |
