The sleeves do work (honest!), but there have been performance issues with them over the past couple of years. The iNS sleeve is now a couple of years old. A newer Navman 3450 sleeve is now available which is much better in receiving a fix.
The unrecognised card is basically because you don't have a Navman Serial driver installed onto the iPAQ (The iNS sleeve is manufactured by Navman).
Download the Navman Serial Driver from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=93
Install it, then soft reset the iPAQ and you may need to eject it from the sleeve and put it back in again, but you should then be able to use the CF slot. |

Dave thank you for your quick reply i have been looking at the navman 3450 it is on totalpda for 170 pounds which i think is good as i paid 80 for just the sleeve with no software or holders might take it back and go for the newer on do you know if it is compatible with the ipaq 3630.
Thank you |

The software that comes with the Navman 3450 (aka SmartST Pro) will work but you will have to tweak your memory settings on the 3630 and not have much installed to main memory. Navman do suggest that they won't support the software on a 3630 now, but we have had it running before okay.
You can use other software like TomTom Navigator. If you just want the sleeve on it's own, try the Navman 3100 (I believe) over at www.handnav.co.uk |
