Looks like the new ipod connectivity kit will be with us in the UK soon.
A US ebayer is selling them for $14.99, quoting the MRP as $17.99.
Unfortunately the shipping charge to the UK is over $30, so I,ll not be going there. So I take a look at the tomtom website to see if a price is up and the availability. They are out of stock, probably not actually got any over here yet, but the price is a disappointment - £17.24.
Looks like us Brits are still being ripped off by some companies.

You can control the ipod via the touch screen on the tomtom, and the audio is also routed via the tomtom to your cars head unit.
Alternatively listen to the ipod's audio via the tomtom's inbuilt speaker.

My IPOD cable arrived from Pixmania about 4 weeks ago. They ship from France and it took about a week to be delivered from when I ordered it. Their customer service wasn't great and i wouldn't recomend them but they had stock. The set up works well, sound quality obviously isn't that great as I don't have it hooked up to the cars speakers, but it gives me easy access to thousands of tracks. |

I ended up getting a via from the States via ebay at less than the cost of buying one over here. This is if your included UK P & P rates as I couldn't find it locally.
Anyway, it works a treat, recommended!
