I am considering purchasing a 910 but after reading other forums I understand that there has been an issue with the quality of the new mounts.
What has been the experience from the users here, has the problem been resolved or ongoing? _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Glad to hear their customer service is doing well.
I would hate to have the mount get in the way of an otherwise great device like the 910. |

Yesterday i emailed TomTom with my concerns over the mount for my 910.
Today i received a reply informing me that a new one is on it's way.
At the end of the day, that's good service in any language. |

To be fair to TomTom they seem to be just replacing the mounts, no questioned asked, and free of charge. I'm now on my third, and there clearly is a difference in with the new mounts.
Not that people should take advantage, but having a 'free spare' mount could be useful when Brodit release their mounts. The previous Brodit GO mounts required the original TomTom mount modifying. |

After reading about the problems people are experiencing about the mount I thought I might of been one of the lucky one's also I found a website regarding a New updated mount http://www.yournav.com/content/n/186/TomTom_modifies_GO_x10_car_mount.html It's Ironic that I only read about the new mount yesterday and today I went out to the car only to find that the mount had come away from the windscreen and the suction pad had come away from the mount, So I put it back on and it just kept coming off so I have just phoned TomTom and they are sending a new updated mount free I dont even have to send the old one back! They were even quick to answer the phone. I think that is great customer service..!! |
