As Alix says, TomTom Navigator works the same on all platforms, and loads of other people would have complained by now if it didn't work.
Can I suggest you try another POI from another website (try
http://www.tomtomfree.com/singlePOIfile.htm) and see if you have better luck with that.
It might be the way you are un-zipping the archive? Are you downloading on a PC or a Mac? |

Downloaded the camera files again with no luck.
Downloaded a POI from that site Andy also didn't work. I'm using a PC.
What is making me wonder is the lack of a detailed Q&A for Palm there are extensive ones for Pocket PC. I cannot believe that I am the first person to want to load the database onto a Palm.
The TomTom site only has instructions for a Go version |

if you use an sdcard reader then the instructions are the same
for the 5th time adding POI's to tomtom is the same across all platforms the faq for go or for pocket pc relate the same method there is no special way if your using a palm
using the sd card reader method its the same _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

When you view the memory card how many map folders are there?
I have known people place the POI into the map folder then not selecting the correct ACTIVE map when more than one map is present.
For example if you have both the GB map and the GB PLUS map loaded to the card which one have you loaded the POI to, then is this the active map (selectable in preferences) - Mike |

RIGHT you want it stage by stage
downloaded the zip file (pgpsw-speed-cams.zip) to my PC
Extracted the files to a totally separate directory
Copied all the OV2 and bmp files to the GB map folder on the SD card
Started Navigator
Went to manage POI where I have the following choices:
Add POI
This adds extra POI's to a catagory
Add POI catagory
This adds a catagory but the I can't add the POI's under the above
Warn when near POI
This displays the various catagagories
Enable/Disable POI's
If you look at
http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=ov2+files&FID=2010
which deals with TomTom Go it says 'Finally, to enable POI's in your TomTom GO select them in your POI categories. They now are displayed on your GO screen in both 3D maps and 2D maps.'
I do not have a POI catagories I have those shown above |

Use the "Warn when near POI" option and configure the warnings as I stated earlier, you will have to scroll though the list of inbuilt POI to get to the Pocketgps ones - Mike |
