Hi All,
Can someone explain to me how to turn off the proximity alters from these http://www.MaFt.co.uk/garmin/ POI's.
Ilike having them there but i want them to behave like the POI's already on the garmin i3. So that i can see them and navigate to them but not so they alert me when i get within a certain distance of them. When im driving though a town center the alerts go crazy! Bing argos, bing burgerking, bing halfords, bing tescos!!
I have the speed camera database and the alerts on that are fantastic but i dont want to be altered and have my navigations interupted for the local fish and chip shop etc! ...
thanks in advance,
Neilius |

I'm assuming you are using the latest version of the POI loader (231.exe) If so go back to 20.exe. There appears to be a bug with the latest version which flashes up warnings. _________________ Ignorance is no excuse ! |

Assuming POI Loader V2.3.1 gives a problem, does anyone know where to get a copy of V2.2.1 cos I believe ASH10 / CBROM's Camera updaters only work with that version or later.

I think the link above is for version 2.2.1.3 which I know is ok for Ash's application.

I've succesfully loaded and used POIs and the PGPSW speed camera base with ASH10's utility whilst using version 20.exe _________________ Ignorance is no excuse ! |

You can now turn off alerts for custom POI with the 3.60 upgrade for the nuvi.
This makes me think that Garmin might have got release dates the wrong way round!
Had POIloader 2.3.1. been released after, people might have said what a great feature it was to have POI flash up, with choice of audio alert on or off. It's not so long ago that everyone was asking for all POI to show, and Garmin saying it would clutter the screen. Seems to me like this a compromise between the all or nothing!
As for the i3, I suspect, but don't hold me to it, a new software is only just around the corner with the same selectable alerts.
