Can anyone tell me whether the full camera database files with speeds will fit on a brand new UK Tom Tom One (nothing else on it) or whether I should play safe and just put on the canmera database without speeds. The card is the standard 128mb SD card.

Hi mb300tdGREEN,
to the forum!
If you download all of the speed zoned categories you will need to find room for 48 files (24 POI files and their respective BMP icon files), which all take up 476 KB for the current (v4.064) database.
I don’t know how much free space the original 128 MB SD card comes with on a TT One, but I suspect that you haven’t got too much spare.
I recommend that you buy a new SD and keep the original as a backup. Copy all of the files from the original to the new SD card via a card reader.
If you do buy a new SD card then get one big enough. At a minimum get a 256 MB card, but if you’re going to add maps then go for a 1 GB SD card.

Thank you for your fast response. I read somewhere that the default set of camera files takes up 250k of space and that this comfortably fits on the 128 MB SD card supplied with Tom Tom One. 476k for the full camera file set is only 226k greater - so surely someone has tried to fit this on! I cannot see myself needing to fit other maps on for a while and so would prefer not to buy another card unless absolutley essential. Any further information gratefully received!
Thanks |

Your original 128 card is fine.
Only time you'd need to upsize is if you wanted to add more POIs etc. |

Don't forget to fully back up every file on your SD card to your PC and also a CD.
It is best to use another SD card, and leave the original SD as a backup.
