|
|
I recently purchased TomTom navigator 5 for PDA. Works perfectly, but here is the problem I am having.
The application and maps are all provided on a 128mb SD card.
The only CD I have is the user manual.
I also have a 4gb SD card that I would like to use instead (this card contains all my files and applications and I do not want to have to swap the card to use navigator)
IF i copy all the files on the TomTom card directly to my 4gb card everything works great. The annoying part is that this clutters up the root directory of my card.
If i create a subfolder and copy the files to that, i get the legal notice screen when I start the app (something that does not happen when I copy files to root)
Once I click agree I get a message saying "no maps found" and can go no further.
Is there a way to get this to work from a subfolder or am I going to have to learn to live with a messy card?
Any help appreciated.
Thank you in advance. |

the map and the other folder need to be where they are for tomtom to work ie the map must be in the root of the sd card _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

hi,
i was just reading your post... is it possible to transfer the Tomotom 5 from the 128MB memory card to a higher memory card? i thought that was possible becasue of protection by tomtom.
i was thinking of buying 2GB memory card... can i buy the tomtom 5 software on the SD card, and trasfer onto the new card?
thank you for your help |

Yes but need to make sure that you have hidden files showing when using Explorer otherwsie not all files will be copied. _________________ Peter
