Broken TomTom 510

I have had a Tom Tom 510 for a week now, and I have used it once for a 2 mile journey. I had planned to use it tomorrow for a bit of driving around, so today I was having a look around it to get used to it and then I switched it off. I decided to have another go a bit later and tried to switch it on. Pressing the on switch for 2 seconds nothing happens at all, it looks like it has died. Putting the unit on the charger dock the green light comes on and it has been like that for 2 hours, and it still not works.
Has anyone had this problem before.

Have you tried the reset switch? prod it with a pin then press and hold the on/ off button for a couple of seconds, if you are not sure where the reset switch is please consult the book, it is near the power connector underneath the unit IT IS NOT THE SMALL HOLE ON THE FRONT FACIA THIS IS THE MICROPHONE - Mike

thats what mine was doing,went to turn it on one day & nothing happened left it a few days then it came on not very good at all so it went back for refund & now using the old paper maps.
