My wife took the I3 through Manchester recently (M602/Mancunian Way etc).
She complained that she took a wrong turn (or two...) as it kept bing-binging at her at the most awkward moment.
I advised her to slow down! She said she wasn't speeding!
Is there any way to disable the "bing-bing" that occurs when you get the e.g. "entering a 30 mph zone" warning screen ? I think as the speed on this stretch varies so much, it must have been pretty annoying.
Any advice please ? |

Really annoying at round-abouts where there are traffic light cameras on lights for rush hour traffic control. _________________ Chas

I get this problem too and it can be very annoying but I find a quick glance at the screen helps _________________ Ignorance is no excuse ! |

I don't see her problem, women can "multitask" better than men they tell us!
If she has trouble coping with an added factor maybe you got a duff model, get her re programmed or maybe she might need a version six upgrade.
You could of course have a word with the Mother In-law help line and get her sorted |

I'll let you raise this point with my Mrs.
We'll then see how good you are at multitasking - i.e. picking your teeth up with two broken hands.... |

On a day when we should all be thinking of peace and harmony! I like your style though
On a more serious note, have you got mafts POI data loaded via new web apdater Gilesme.? Your poor lady may be getting bing bonged by every Homebase, Maccy D's, Chippy and BurgerKing etc that she is near.
So mention re her speed may be a little unfair 8)
If that is adding to the tormenting bing bong in built up area, posts just below here will point you in the right direction to sort the problem out.
ps. I'm still quaking in my slippers, you must be brave a big brave boy to suggest she should go slower though. |

Cantgetlost - no, not updated to the latest loader.
I'm firmly in the "if it aint broke" camp - Garmin seem to get PGPSW users to do their Beta testing for them....
Still on 2.7 on the I3 and an old version of POI Loader.
Time to have a play with Ash's toy I think. |
