Johnny,
When you configure the GPS in TomTom you should select the "Emtac Wireless GPS" device and set the ComPort to Com8.
You can also select NMEA 4800 and Com8.
You should have paired the GPS with the PDA before you connect to the TomTom application.
If this fails have you managed to connect to the GPS Disgnostic application provided with the receiver? _________________ Mike Barrett |

Have you 'discovered' the Bluetooth GPS in Bluetooth Manager? Doing this adds the COM8 BT Serial Port. The fact that you're not seeing this suggest you have not done this? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Its me, gotskov from www.it-svar.dk.
Noice to see you here.
I just remember i once tried at Socket bt gps".
I had to find satelits BEFORE my ipaq 2210 could find it. So try to put the gps somewhere with "clean" sky and let it find som sats. There "should be a light telling you when it has a fix. THEN try to get it connected to the ipaq. It worked for me!

Not sure if it is the same but I upgraded my Ipaq 3970 to Pocket Pc 2003 and when I went to setup TomTom again I was suprised to find I needed to select 'Bluetooth Serial Port COM5:' after I had paired my BT308.
I expected it to be COM8 from memory. |
