|
|
Hi,
I have Tomtom navigator on my Palm with a compatible bluetooth GPS.
But sometimes I would like to use Tomtom to plan a route and then walk that route even when I don't have my GPS. Basically, just use Tomtom in order to get the directions, without the actual navigation.
Is this possible? whenever I start Tomtom is asks for the GPS, and won't let me plan a route without one.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks!

On my T3 it also works without receiver connected ( although I have no idea why you would want to do that).
Use the "advanced planning" option to define start and destination, and then click on "route details" and then "browse as images" _________________ Lutz

I take it Lutz has never experienced the joys of driving to a known location & then needing SatNav for the next stage - only to realise that the GPS receiver is still on charge on the bedside table!
Lutz's suggestion will show you junctions but if you select Browse Map, you can zoom into your start point at street level & manually scroll as you progress. You can also choose Show Demo & set the speed to minimum & pause when you need to. |

In that case I simply use another of the receivers that are stashed away in various pockets or under the car seat. The power of a backup plan... _________________ Lutz

I assume each of your 'various pockets' is probably deeper than mine then... |
