might sound strange, but I see that Tomtom are selling single/packs maps on their site (download). assuming I don't need the whole US, do you know if it is possible to just buy the tomtom palm navigator software by itself (cheaper?) and then add maps selectively?
thanks!

You are always only buying the maps.
You can download the program from www.tomtom.com _________________ Lutz

Thanks lbendlin, I actually bought a set of maps but it tells me that in order to download the maps I need to get a "code" from the palm Tomtom software (which I did not buy), so you are saying I can download the app, install it, let it generate a "code" and use that with maps I buy?
Thanks!

well, yes and no.
When you install only the application it will complain " no maps found"
When you install the app and any maps, the app will ask you for the activation code for those maps.
Now , depending on the maps (as Alix776 was saying) you will need different product codes. If the map is an upgrade then you can use the product code of the original map. _________________ Lutz
